Shipping Policy for California
As of January 1, 2018, we are restricted from shipping ammunition directly to you, our customer, as it is outlined in CA PC 30312. We will continue to ship to any licensed ammunition vendor, as described in this law. If you would like us to ship your order to the care of a local gun shop/FFL, please contact your local FFL to make arrangements with them to receive your shipment AND please have them fill out our REGISTRATION FORM on your behalf.
We are unable to ship direct to California residents, unless you are Law Enforcement, an FFL holder or would like us to ship to the care of a local FFL. We will continue to ship to any licensed ammunition vendor, as described in this law.
If you are a licensed FFL holder in CA and you haven’t already submitted your credentials to us, please do so by uploading these documents when you register with us using the link to register for an account above.
Additionally, we will honor all exemptions. If you are exempt from this law (please refer to CA PC 30312.c for list of exemptions), please call or email for more information and submit copies of your credentials.
If you are an individual who would like us to ship your order to the care of a local gun shop/FFL, please contact your local gun store to make arrangements with them to receive your shipment, register with us and have your local gun shop email a copy of their FFL to us, on your behalf, to sales@virtusammo.com. Be sure to have them reference your name if they email to us. Your account will be approved and your order will be processed once we receive all of this information.
Required Documents
CA Law Enforcement: State Issued Driver’s License AND LE Credentials.
FFL holders: (must provide both)
- Copy of your FFL and 1 of the following
- COE (03 FFLs) or Ammunition Vendor License (01 FFLs).
Ammunition Vendors: (must provide both)
- Copy of your Ammunition Vendor License and 1 of the following
- Business License or Driver’s License.
