The United States Army released a source sought notice for a 6.8mm conversion kit for the M240B and M240L machine guns. The kit can possibly be utilized to convert those weapons from 7.62x51mm to a 6.8mm round. This was released on March 16, 2022 at 08:31 am EDT.
